As the foundation has continued to evolve its grantmaking practices, we have also refined how we engage with new organizations, emerging movements, and prospective partners. We remain deeply committed to building relationships, sharing information about our funding priorities, and helping organizations better understand whether there may be alignment with our mission and grantmaking approach. At the same time, as a small team, we are mindful of our staff capacity and strive to create opportunities for engagement that are both meaningful and equitable.
In addition to individual follow-up conversations when appropriate, we will offer a series of informational call sessions throughout the year designed to introduce organizations to the Hill-Snowdon Foundation, our grantmaking philosophy, and our current funding priorities.
For Washington, DC-based organizations, these sessions provide an overview of our Fund for DC and related grantmaking strategies, an opportunity to learn more about our commitment to community organizing and power building, and space for participants to ask questions about our funding process and priorities. These calls are intended for organizations that are new to the foundation or are interested in learning whether their work aligns with our approach.
For national organizations, our informational sessions focus on the foundation's broader grantmaking strategy, including our support for grassroots organizing, youth organizing, economic justice, and power-building efforts across the country. These conversations offer organizations an opportunity to learn more about our values, funding priorities, and approach to partnership.
We encourage organizations interested in learning more about the foundation to attend one of these sessions. The calls are designed to provide a shared space for learning and dialogue, ensuring that organizations have access to consistent information while allowing our staff to engage thoughtfully with a broad range of current and prospective partners.
If your request is not funding or support related, please contact us at info@hillsnowdon.org. Please note that all grant-related inquiries will be redirected to this page.
