CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities/Youth Leadership Program:   CAAAV is a multi-issue, intergenerational, membership based organization led by poor and low-income Asian immigrant communities in New York City addressing social and economic justice.  HSF provided a special one-time, 18-month $60,000 grant to CAAV to protect Chinatown tenants from displacement, provide youth organizers and Asian worker organizers with ongoing development support, document and address the health conditions of Southeast Asian war survivors, and build a local campaign to support comprehensive immigration reform nationally.

Carolina Alliance for Fair Employment (CAFE)/Next Generation:   CAFE's mission is to uplift low-wage, non-unionized workers and their families by building a multi-racial, democratic organization and collectively working for justice on the job and in their communities.  HSF provided a $25,000 general support grant to strengthen local and state-wide youth-led organizing campaigns.

Center for Community Change:  Founded in 1968, the Center for Community Change's (CCC) mission is to build the power and capacity of low-income people, particularly people of color, to change the institutions and policies that affect their lives. HSF made a special one-time, 18-month grant of $60,000 grant to CCC to support multi-generational organizing focused on high-school aged immigrant youth.

Tenants and Workers United (TWU):   The mission of the TWU is to empower low-income people of color in Northern Virginia to struggle against racism and sexism through education and direct action, to develop multi-national leadership and win campaigns for social and economic justice. HSF provided a special one-time, 18-month grant of $60,000 to support its youth organizing and economic justice organizing work, including expanding its youth organizing work into other Northern Virginia areas.
